Marketing is a continuous effort that is very important for your business’ growth, but you need to keep your efforts balanced. As necessary as digital marketing is, it does not replace the need for human connection. Don’t forget to have an external marketing strategy; it’s easy to get caught up marketing your business at arm’s length. Your external marketing is an opportunity to connect with others in a non-direct channel and make new connections. Your community involvement solidifies the foundation of your business.
Share an event:
Take the time to get involved in your local activities; they’re an excellent opportunity to connect with your followers. Create a post inviting your followers to stop by for a chat. During the event, take some pictures and videos of the highlights, and afterward, post a thank you to everyone who came out.
Host a booth:
Take it a step further than attending a local community function, host a booth. By participating and connecting with the organizers, you’re establishing your business. Reserve a booth to dedicate a table for your services. Additionally, you can set up a sign that invites them to follow you on social.
Support a charity/fundraiser: Team up with a non-profit to build a better tomorrow.
Furthermore, find a cause that you’re passionate about and support it! Whether it’s Habitat for Humanity, a local food closet, or any other community-based charity, they need the support of local businesses. Find ways to collect donations, volunteer on a project, or spread awareness for the cause.
Whenever you’re preparing for an event, don’t forget to follow these three steps.
